  • Promoting wind energy onshore

Power generation from wind energy is an important and growing part of our energy business.

As specialists, we are also engaged in the planning, implementation and operation of wind turbines.

For wind power, we use the wind which is created by the heat of the sun. Wind energy is thus converted solar radiation, which is transformed into electrical energy in a wind turbine. We are responsible for the entire process of generating power from wind energy, from preparation to generation and supply.

    Preparation

Wind energy is converted solar radiation.

In regions with stronger solar radiation, the air rises higher than in those with less sunshine. This creates pressure differences which are compensated for by air movements.

    Power generation

The rotor blades of a wind turbine convert the kinetic energy of the wind into rotational energy.

A rotor shaft transmits the energy of the rotor to the gearbox. The gearbox drives a generator that generates electrical energy by rotating.

    Power supply

We feed the electricity generated into the public grid.
