Project:	Iskenderun hard coal fired power plant, including concept of the Transshipper (world’s largest floating coal unloading crane)
Description:	Completion of the large-scale power plant in the southeast of Turkey within just 39 months; installed capacity: 1,320 megawatts (MW); Conceptual design of a special floating transshiper capable of reloading as much as 30,000 tons of coal from large oceangoing bulk carriers to smaller barges. STEAG thereby successfully overcame a major challenge posed by coal supply: the bay near the power plant is too shallow to be accessed by oceangoing carriers and deliver coal directly to the plant.
