"Together with my colleagues on the Management Board I personally stand for a corporate culture which is openly communicated and continually developed and in which responsible, law-abiding action is central."
Joachim Rumstadt, Chairman of the Management Board
Values like the protection of human rights, humane working conditions or ecologically sustainable management are the foundation on which responsible action in the economic sphere builds. To us, success does not just mean being a good employer and providing excellent services and products to customers - and, as business enterprise, working profitably for the owners. Success likewise means creating the prerequisites so that the path to the envisaged goals successfully can be taken in a responsible manner and in conformity with the law. Violations of the law are not accepted by us; exceptions are not tolerated.
Generally accepted, fundamental ethical values like the principles of the Global Compact constitute important guidelines for our entrepreneurial actions. Act responsibly, ethically and in compliance with law – these are the pillars on which the STEAG Code of Conduct is based.
Within STEAG these principles are pro-actively incorporated into everyday work. By means of our Compliance Organization, through transparent communication, we want to develop and enhance awareness of compliance as well as identify possible risks early on, guarding against them with training, for example. The objective is also to detect any violations quickly and respond to them with clear-cut measures, without exception.
